The Social Advocacy Committee

uses the ESU’s platform to advocate for the many social and political issues in our current world. We work closely with the BIPOC committee to identify issues that need to be amplified and prioritize these issues in our social media, events, and departmental outreach.

  • Make the ESU a consistent, informative site for social activism at SFU and beyond

  • Maintain the eagerness to learn more about which issues and whose voices need amplifying

  • Work with other student unions to bring attention to critical issues on and off campus

Membership: The Social Advocacy Committee aims for a 3–5 person membership.
